Please note that discount codes cannot be combined with other sales or promotional offers. 

If an item is already on sale and the sale price offers a greater discount than a code, applying the code will override the sale price and remove the higher discount.

During major promotions such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this is especially common. Many items are already discounted to their maximum promotional amount, so additional discount codes will not apply.
