Mag Carrier ComparisonUpdated 7 months ago

Alien Gear Holsters offers several different options to carry an additional magazine or two.  This article will highlight the differences between our offerings.

Cloak Mag Carrier Bucket

This is the backbone of our Mag Carriers. There are two ride height options and 360° cant adjustability on the buckets for maximum customization potential, as well as adjustable retention. The bottom of the inner bucket is angled both ways to allow for ambidextrous draw.  These buckets interchange with our shoulder holsters options as well as the first gen Drop Leg Holster.

These are sold individually in 4 sizes:

9 mm / .40 caliber single stack

45 ACP/10 mm single stack

9 mm / .40 S&W double stack

45 ACP / 10 mm double stack

Single Mag Carrier

The Single Mag Carrier is an economical choice for a carrier that can be worn IWB or OWB.  It uses the Cloak Mag Carrier Bucket and and offer the ability to carry it with either the narrow IWB belt clip or the wider OWB belt clip.

Single Cloak Mag Carrier

This is the same as the Single Mag Carrier with the addition of the IWB neoprene backer for additional comfort.

Double Cloak Mag Carrier

This is the full package.  It enables the user to carry two spare mags either individually or on an OWB paddle.  The paddle can be interchanged with the belt slide, which is also included.

Photon Mag Carrier/Side Car Attachment

This was specifically designed for use with our Photon Holster, however, it can be used as a stand alone carrier. It is available in 9mm/40cal Single Stack or Double Stack and has adjustable retention and cant.  1.5 and 1.75 inch belt clips are included.

Grip Tuck Mag Carrier

This is the best option for those who only wish to carry a spare mag IWB as it is a slimmer profile than our other carriers.  It uses the same materials as our Grip Tuck Universal IWB Holster.  The adjustable belt clip allows for cant and ride height adjustments.
