ShapeShift Series Holsters will have our proprietary adjustable retention unit. &#xA0;From virtually no retention to impossibly tight, this retention unit can be adjusted anywhere in-between.&#xA0; Using a Twist Lock from your holster or the extra one in the parts pack, insert the squared off side of the Twist Lock into the square hole. &#xA0;Twisting clock-wise will increase the retention. &#xA0;It is recommended to use half turns initially and then test after each adjustment to find your ideal retention.&#xA0;<img src="https://attachments.gorgias.help/Aa90l7EVMOvxJWor/hc/30BVo7vOPLxrvzmQ/2024120922-a2927de1-fd84-4a84-b05a-e7f52e40b667-shapeshift%20adjustable%20retention.gif" style="width: 455px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"> If the Adjustable Retention Unit feels stuck or does not turn reasonably freely, it may be possible the gears underneath are not synced and interfacing as interfacing as designed. &#xA0;This can usually be rectified with a little extra leverage. &#xA0;A 1/4 inch bit driver is ideal, but a flat head screwdriver big enough to seat diagonally will work in a pinch. A screwdriver may mar the polymer but should not impact performance of the retention device. &#xA0;If the extra leverage does not realign the gears by turning clockwise, apply pressure on the alien head and try again by twisting the driver back and forth. &#xA0;This should ensure both gears within the retention unit align. &#xA0;<img src="https://attachments.gorgias.help/Aa90l7EVMOvxJWor/hc/30BVo7vOPLxrvzmQ/2024120922-a679fb67-b77c-47f7-81a8-c5236de04e42-mceclip0.png" style="width: 300px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib"> &#xA0;

Within our own series of holsters, the Multi-Holster Adapter is compatible with Photon, ShapeShift and Cloak Mod options with some special considerations. These options do not allow for a quick conversion back to the original configuration. Using the Multi-Holster Adapter does allow for quick changeovers to any Rapid Force carry method with QDS.&#xA0;ShapeShift Shells are compatible with the Multi-Holster Adapter. To mount the Multi-Holster Adapter to the ShapeShift Shell, first slide the shell halves apart after removing the Twist Locks. The hex nuts are a little more difficult to work with but can be used in conjunction with pliers. If the Paddle Holster or Core Carry Pack configurations were initially ordered, the square weld nuts work best. &#xA0;Our thread pitch is 8/32 if alternate nuts are desired. If using different hardware altogether, ensure that the screw heads will sit in the recess of the screw holes of the shell and are not protruding as that will cause damage to the firearm.<img src="https://attachments.gorgias.help/Aa90l7EVMOvxJWor/hc/30BVo7vOPLxrvzmQ/2024100921-1197f0be-918b-4f8f-8949-0866c50f7139-ea2032c5-1d78-4749-87bd-271902c8cdb7.png" style="width: 300px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib">The square weld nuts can work in any of the slots for ride height and cant adjustments. &#xA0;Add medium retention thread locker to the screws once the adjustments are made. &#xA0;Reassemble the Shift Shell halves and secure with the Twist Locks.&#xA0;<img src="https://attachments.gorgias.help/Aa90l7EVMOvxJWor/hc/30BVo7vOPLxrvzmQ/2024100921-2b280e0d-306d-4f8a-8a00-50e009160212-12699edd-b0fa-40f0-b03d-1f1c1838ddc6.png" style="width: 300px;" class="fr-fic fr-dib">If you have and use the legacy thumb release, it will have to be removed to utilize the Multi-holster adapter as it does not have enough space between the shell and the adapter to function.&#xA0;
